Bordeaux, Lucerne here i come :-)) and a few more bits besides

I am in a brilliant mood. Someone must have spiked my Macdonalds with Prozac whilst i wasn't looking. No honestly - i feel full of the joys of Autumn and that's a bit scary considering that it gets dark at 6pm now and that sucks.

Speaking of McDo (or should i say McDon't?), the McDonalds experience was something else today: take my advice never, ever eat anywhere along the champs elysees or in the goth hang-out square that connects chatelet with les halles (i think it's fontaine or place st opportune). Opportune is the key word here as you have to run the gauntlet of wall to wall beggars, and questionnaire / world wildlife / greenpeace / socialist party whatever clipboard limpets. Now i'm all for charity and i honestly do have a stupidly overdeveloped generous streak but my generosity definitely goes awol when people beg leaning over your shoulder as you're putting the food in your mouth (petit salade, grande frites and chicken wings actually) or as you're taking the money out of the cash machine. For sure there is some reversed kind of psychology at work there - call it guilt tripping - but it doesn't actually work on me: it just makes me want to punch them - which isn't being charitable at all. Total of people who asked me for money today = 8. only one person was successful, and that was only because he tugged on my heart strings by using sign language. i felt really bad, listened to the angel on my right side and then the b*****d said bloody 'thank you' when i gave him the two euros. talk about feeling suckered! I was sorely tempted to ask him for my money back. Now you can understand why i was such a miserable, mean, miserly old scrooge with the other 7.

And whilst i am on the subject of Scrooge - they are hanging the christmas lights on the Champs Elysees tonight. It isn't even Hallowe'en yet. I had this 'first signs of christmas' discussion with my booking agent Charlotte on Monday and she says that she knows it's Christmas when the chocolates go on display as they use the same ones for Hallowe'en as they do for Christmas. What do you think? I go with the Christmas lights but since some people / places never get around to taking them down, this can be a bit misleading ... Still, it's time to start thinking about Christmas and my birthday and going home to Manchester and all that malarkey and as much as i moan about it all, i love it really! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

There, you see, I said i was in a brilliant mood, didn't i? I wasn't lying either. Even though the hairdresser didn't understand the phrase 'don't touch my fringe' at all today. I hate my new hair cut. She's parted it on the wrong side for a start... I look weird. I also forgot my hairbrush so had to ride the metro home looking new weird and seeing my reflection looking new weird in every window... and that's definitely not a confidence building exercise!

Anyway - please forgive my attention deficit disorder! my mind is jumping from subject to subject because i have so much to say :-)

The party season is in fulll flow again and i am a very happy bunny. 'One night With Paulette' vs Toolroom Knights at Mix Club last Friday was a dirty, sleazy session as expected from Mark Knight. Then the Dolly Party at L'Odace was something else again. Anorak, Carlo Mora and I turned the super-chic nightspot with Buddha statues all over the place and an indoor fountain running down one wall into an electro-tech-house sweatbox that was full to capacity by 01h and still packed and rocking when it ended at 5. I love the Dolly Party sessions. Can't think why i wore a jumper though - i must have lost about a stone sweating and jumping about. I wonder if it worked on my cellulite?:-)

I am listening to the mix for this week's radio show and it is pure bliss. I can't keep still! Thanks to Tom Neville for the exclusive copy of Tommy Four Seven 'Pink White Glue'; Abyss 'Mind Games' and Babylon Robots 'Dop4m1n' are monsters that i can't stop playing plus TV Rocks 'Bimbo' is a cheeky hooky cut that takes the electro route to hip house thanks to Dragan and Dirty South. It's great. And will be posted on my website for all to hear very soon!

I have bought new sunglasses! So expect the new photo shoot (whenever i get chance to do it) to feature my new Prada tortoiseshell wraparound aviators with the gold oval 'Prada Milano' logo on the arm. YSL who? I am so fickle. And THEY are so last year :-D LOL Don't get me wrong, I love - and keep all my sunnnies (within reason). Maybe I love them a bit too much as they are an expensive habit but you know what? i don't smoke so ... WHATEVER!

I might take them with me on my travels this weekend as i have some big old parties to play. I am headlining the Ministry of Sound party at Le Mystic in Bordeaux tomorrow - it is SOLD OUT, so if you don't have a ticket you will probably be left standing outside. I can't wait. I love Bordeaux as you know. Saturday is the Life's a Bitch party at The Casenium in Lucerne : it's organised by the same people who do Emergency Room at Club Q! and you all know what happened there when i played in July. Looks like this weekend is going to be one for some serious liver damage.

I am working on some lovely tour ideas for 07 with some old friends / promoters that i have renewed contact with through Myspace - it is all very exciting and could see me visiting the side of the world that i have spent the last 2 months mooning over in the atlas. Shanghai / Singapore / Jakarta and Australia so if it happens - and even if it doesn't - thanks Myspace! :-D Let it be know that these are places that i have never visited before and that i want to see before i have to get a stannah stairlift to board the plane so let's really channel some tour positivity on this one, team! LOL

I have to apologise to DJ Powertech - i have been super busy and just didn't get time to get my head around remixing your track. I am so new at this that it is taking me an age to get anything done so please don't be too disappointed. I am super disappointed in myself for not doing it but have chalked it down to experience. I hope you understand?

this disappointment aside, i am really looking forward to the autumn season - it promises to be absolutely wonderful and i hope that you can join me somewhere along the way (miles, pasquale - see you in lucerne: darius - see you in bordeaux!).

enjoy the rest of your week, have a fabulous weekend and go easy on yourselves!
a le prochaine
